Prototype: The Modern Edge team follows a human-centered concept methodology; framework, immersion, ideate, concept, alpha prototype, test, iterate. Concepts are developed collaboratively with vendors to establish production costs early on. Service design, products, and UI concepts are prototyped and evaluated by consumers. The client is provided with business model input such as a proforma and consumer pricing insight.
Engineering : A combination of models, beta prototypes, CAD simulations and limited-run manufacturing are used to prove out technologies, realize creative options, and bring consumers into the creative process prior to production tool commitment.
Production : We create products that are breathtakingly beautiful, commercially game-changing and functionally elegant. We accomplish this by driving the DNA of the original consumer research findings through the process to ensure that our production release packages preserve that original inspiration within a robust lean cost effective set of parameters.
Certification : Electronics and medical programs requiring certification have special needs in terms of process documentation and testing. We can support FDA compliance with design plan, design controls, documentation, requirements changes, validation etc. Modern Edge also has experience supporting programs with UL, CE and with most other certification agencies. We can support ISO compliant manufacturers, and certain types of medical research.
