On June 3, 2014, six Portland design professionals met on The Art Institute of Portland’s campus to present some of their current projects and share their insights to a room filled with Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design students. The evening flipped the traditional approach to reviews and provided students the unique opportunity to question the processes and solutions of the professionals.
Stephanie Battista, Senior Design Program Manager of Wearables, gave a talk on Feedback, receiving feedback in a professional environment. “Feedback is the thing that can make you or break you as a design leader, creative director, or project manager. It’s the one thing that if you get it right, it will change the trajectory of your career path.”
